Morning and Evening Dhikr (Muslim)

Morning and Evening Prayers

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite the following prayer when evening came ... the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite the following prayer in the morning:

“Praise be to Allah, we have reached the night. The dominion has also reached Allah for the night. There is no god but Allah. He is One, He has no partner. The dominion is His, and all praise is due to Him. He is capable of all things. My Lord! I ask You for the good that will happen this night and the good that will happen afterward. I seek refuge in You from the evil that will happen this night and the evil that will happen afterward. My Lord! I seek refuge in You from laziness and the evils of old age. My Lord! I seek refuge in You from the torment of Hell and the torment of the grave!” ... "Praise be to Allah, we have reached the morning. And the dominion belongs to Allah."
