Prayer to be Recited During the First Ten Days of Muharram

“In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. O Allah! You are eternal, ancient, living, generous, compassionate, and bountiful. In this new year, I ask You to protect me from Satan, who has been expelled from divine mercy. I ask for Your help against this soul that always commands evil. I also ask for Your help so that I may be occupied with things that will bring me closer to You, O Allah, the Possessor of Majesty and Generosity! Grant me Your favor with Your mercy! O Most Merciful of the Merciful!” Note: It is narrated that whoever recites this prayer three times in the morning during the first ten days of Muharram, especially on the first and tenth days of Ashura, Allah Almighty will protect and safeguard that person from all calamities until the next Muharram.
