Prayer for the Host and the Provider of Food

Dressing and Eating Prayers

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) ate bread and olive oil with Sa’d Ibn Ubadah. Finally, he said a prayer:

“May those who are fasting eat with you, may the righteous eat from your food, and may the angels pray for you.” (Narration from Hazrat Jabir: “When someone enters a person’s house, eats his food and drinks his drink, a prayer is offered for the host; that is his reward.”) (Abu Dawud, Et’ıme 55, (3854))
