Prayer For Protection From Sudden Calamities
Daily PrayersAccording to a narration from Hz. Osman (r.a.), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever recites three times in the evening:
Transliteration
Bismillahillezî lâ yedurru mea’smihî şey’ün fi’l-ardı velâ fi’s-semâ’ ve hüve’s-semîu’l-alîm.
“I seek help and protection from the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in heaven can harm me. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing,” then no sudden calamity will befall him until morning. And whoever recites this three times in the morning, no sudden calamity will befall him until evening.” (Abu Dawud, Adab 101/5088; Tirmidhi, Da'awat 13)
